A 17-year-old teenager was arrested as accused of the crime of the young man who was killed last Wednesday with a bullet in the back by criminals who intercepted him to steal his new motorcycle in Moreno’s Buenos Aires party, judicial sources reported.
According to the investigators, there are elements of evidence that indicate the minor as author of the shot that killed Mauro Prieto (28).
Judicial spokesmen informed Télam that after police officers managed to capture the 17-year-old teenager, the case, which was in the hands of prosecutor Luisa Pontecorvo, of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 3 of the Moreno-General Judicial Department Rodríguez, passed to the Juvenile Responsibility Forum, in charge of Alejandra Pique.
The suspect was made available to prosecutor Pique, who will investigate him this Saturday as accused of Prieto’s crime.
Meanwhile, the forensic study carried out in the General Rodríguez Judicial Morgue established that Prieto did not break his neck when he fell from the motorcycle after the bullet, as the experts initially estimated, but rather that he was actually shot in the back. by one of the two “motochorros” that intercepted him for the purpose of robbery in the town of La Reja.
“The causes (of death) are traumatic cardiac arrest, secondary to hypovolemic shock caused by heart and lung injury, product of a firearm. Mediate death after a short agonizing period,” indicates the report accessed by Télam.
The spokesmen added that lead was recovered from the victim’s body and will be subjected to exhaustive tests and comparisons in order to identify the murder weapon and thus reach the murderer.
For its part, the victim’s body was handed over to his relatives, who decided to mourn him in the Cortejarena neighborhood and bury him in the Moreno Municipal Cemetery.
In turn, the victim’s widow asked for “justice” for her husband and that “if anyone saw something, they should come out and talk.”
The incident occurred last Wednesday night, when Prieto was shot when he was attacked with the intention of robbery by two “motochorros” who intercepted him on Ascasubi street, almost on the corner of Larralde, in the Santa Julia neighborhood, near the municipal cemetery of Dark.
The sources consulted indicated that the man was riding his brand new blue and black Gilera Smash motorcycle bought just five days ago, when suddenly two criminals appeared who tried to rob him.
Prieto initially managed to elude them, but then one of the assailants shot him, causing him to lose control, collide, fall to the ground and die.
Unable to steal the motorcycle, the criminals escaped in the direction of the Western Highway.
