The Montevideo Police arrested a 25-year-old young man who is being investigated as the main suspect in the murder of a man committed on July 18 in Spanish Village.
The homicide occurred on the indicated day at the intersection of Alberto Calamet and Camino Corrales streets. That day the Police found the victim lying on the ground already lifeless, as a result of the 17 shots he was shot.
The investigation of another homicide that also occurred in Villa Española led the authorities to the perpetrator of this crime, as reported by Telemundo.

This second crime is about a 17-year-old teenager who perished after being shot in the head. That homicide, which also happened in July.
In a first action of the Police, two people were arrested for the crime. It was the boyfriend of the deceased, 17 years old, and a friend of this, 18.
The adult told the police that the homicide was a mistake. According to what he said, he arrived at his house (where the death occurred) with a 38-caliber revolver, which he handled. He said that at a certain moment the gun fell on the floor and that while he was picking it up, a shot escaped towards the bed, where the girlfriend of his friend was.
The young man assured that, after shooting the minor, he left the room and hid the revolver in another place in the house. Later, a neighbor from the area entered the residence and took the murder weapon. Precisely that man who took the weapon, is the one now detained.

Police were looking for the weapon with which the teenager was killed when they came across the one used to gun down the 38-year-old man. The investigation of this weapon together with other evidence collected by the authorities allowed the arrest of this subject.
The apprehension of the alleged murderer took place after carrying out a search in a place near where the murder was committed. According to the aforementioned media, the crime occurred when the victim and the perpetrator were arguing and the trigger was that the now deceased insulted the aggressor’s mother.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the prosecutionwhich is expected to make the imputation in the next few hours.
