HAVANA, Cuba. – Cuban opponent Guillermo Coconut Fariñas Hernández was detained by State Security officials on Thursday morning outside the Guamajal prison, province of Villa Clara, according to what he reported to CubaNet Tayrí Lorenzo Prado, mother of the political prisoner Andy Garcia Lorenzo.
“They took him away in a State Security car. Please report it because I almost have no coverage,” Lorenzo Prado asked this media via telephone before losing the connection.

This December 10, International Human Rights Day, Lorenzo Prado reported having State Security surveillance around his home. They allowed her to leave but, as she explained, they followed her “everywhere.”
