Chihuahua, Chih., The joint operation of state authorities and federal forces in the Urique region allowed the arrest of two people, one of them is César Iván PP, cousin of José Noriel Portillo Gil, alias the crookallegedly responsible for the murder of the Jesuit priests Javier Campos and Joaquín César Mora, as well as the tourist guide Pedro Eliodoro Palma.
The Ministry of Public Security of Chihuahua (SSPE) reported that, in coordination with federal corporations, they arrested two men when they were traveling in a truck in possession of firearms and drugs, whom they identified as Humberto BC and César Iván PP.
Security personnel who participated in the search operation for those responsible for the murder of two priests and a tourist guide in Cerocahui, ran into a truck manned by the two subjects, who tried to escape, in events that occurred on a dirt road of the Cuiteco branch, municipality of Urique
.
After the arrest, the SSPE seized two .223-caliber long weapons, a .45-caliber handgun, in addition to 10 portions of cocaine and five plastic packages of marijuana. The detainees, along with what was seized, were placed at the disposal of the agent of the federal Public Ministry.
“The operations and the presence of the security forces of the three orders of government in Urique remain, with the priority of providing security and certainty to the inhabitants of the region and achieved the capture of José Noriel Portillo Gil, the crook”, announced the prosecutor of Chihuahua, Roberto Javier Fierro Duarte, on Wednesday afternoon.
For its part, the National Migration Institute issued a migration alert to prevent Portillo Gil from evading justice and fleeing to the United States.
