The Police arrested this Friday a man charged in the shooting death of Dabel de Jesús Zapata Rosa, son of Dabajón deputy Darío Zapata.
The arrested person is Julio César Ibert Jiménez (Kendri), 29, whose arrest was made through arrest warrant No.0161-August-2022, dated 08-18-2022, for the murder of Dabel Zapata.
According to the preliminary police report, Kendri’s arrest occurred during a raid on the residence located in the Las Colinas del Arroyo sector, in North Santo Domingo.
According to police The detainee, when verbally questioned, would have admitted having committed the robbery in the company of his brother identified as Keyel and those named Raúl or Cristian and those nicknamed “El Flaco” and “El Feo”, who are wanted through arrest warrants.
According to the Police, Kendri stated that the one who caused the fatal injury to Dabel Zapata was El Feo, and that to commit the crime they were transported in a Ford SUV, Scape XTL 4X2, owned by a citizen, whose identity is reserved. who told the investigators that he rented it to the Ibert Jiménez brothers for a period of three days, and that he handed it over to them one day before the event.

Police said that during the raid a bulletproof vest, three pants, two shirts, two cell phones, two passports and a coat, among others, were seized.

Regarding the murder weapon, the prisoner said that it is in the possession of El Feo, while the owner of a cell phone store located in the Capotillo sector of the National District handed over two cell phones to the investigators, one of them taken from a citizen at the very moment of perpetrating the act, where Dabel Zapata was killed.
While two store employees, when questioned, said that the Ibert Jiménez brothers were the ones who brought the mobile phones to the business to unlock them, while another man who was detained for investigation purposes, stated that the fugitive Raúl or Cristian appeared in his garage in the Los Tres Brazos sector to leave the SUV mentioned above.
The detainee and the occupied will be made available to justice, via the Public Ministry, so that a measure of coercion is known.
