After a border anti -drug operation in which 33 kilograms of marijuana were seized, was arrested from a citizen of Colombian nationality in the state of Apure by illicit drug trafficking.
According to information disseminated by the Ministry of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, the confiscation of these substances distributed in 66 wrappers, were transported in conditions that point to a cross -border traffic operation.
Under the coordination of the drug division of the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), the procedure was carried out in the Raúl Leoni I sector, El Amparo parish, José Antonio Páez municipality, of the Apureña entity.
Official figures indicate until August of this year more than 60,000 kilos of illicit substances have been seized in different regions of the country.
Within the framework of the “Independence 200” operation deployed and ordered by the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, in the fight against drug trafficking, highlights the policy of “zero tolerance” against organized crime.
