The frightened visitors immediately informed the police personnel who were providing security at the cemetery. After a quick operation, the agents managed to locate and arrest Brayan Geni Puris Martínez, 29, who tried to escape by throwing a replica firearm.

The police recovered the object and transferred the suspect to the La Oroya Police Station, where he was detained. The case was reported to the Yauli – La Oroya Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, which initiated the corresponding proceedings for the alleged crime of illegal possession of a firearm.
