They arrest a young man with a replica of a firearm in the Paccha cemetery during the Day of the Dead

Moments of fear were experienced in the cemetery of the Paccha district (Yauli – La Oroya) during visits for the Day of the Dead, after the mourners alerted about the presence of an armed individual among the graves.

The frightened visitors immediately informed the police personnel who were providing security at the cemetery. After a quick operation, the agents managed to locate and arrest Brayan Geni Puris Martínez, 29, who tried to escape by throwing a replica firearm.

The police recovered the object and transferred the suspect to the La Oroya Police Station, where he was detained. The case was reported to the Yauli – La Oroya Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, which initiated the corresponding proceedings for the alleged crime of illegal possession of a firearm.
