Officials from the Zone Command No. 45 La Guaira, together with the Anti-Drug Unit No. 45, captured a subject with 75 cocaine cods, at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state.
The subject was preparing to board a flight bound for the City of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The capture was generated as a result of a security procedure on flight No. 1214, by the Bolivarian National Guard, when suspicious attitudes were observed in the citizen identified as Pino Gutiérrez Bladimir, 73 years old.
Given this, the authorities decided to inspect him through non-intrusive equipment, in which the presence of foreign bodies could be observed, for which the subject admitted that he was transporting the 75 cocaine finger cots.
The drug, which weighed approximately 0.958 grams, was transported intraorganically. The case was notified to the Public Prosecutor’s Office with Anti-drug jurisdiction.
