The National Police arrested a man accused of physically and verbally attacking his mother, in addition to threatening to set fire to her home, in an event that occurred in the municipality of San Francisco de Macorís, Duarte province.
The detainee is Enmanuel Betance Matos, alias “El Quemaito”, 35 years old, who was arrested at the intersection of San Francisco and Luperón streets. The action was carried out by agents from the Regional Subdirectorate and the Specialized Directorate for the Protection of Women and Domestic Violence, in compliance with arrest order No. 1137-2024-RBD-00008, issued on January 18, 2024.
The accused was placed under the control of the Public Ministry, in the Gender and Domestic Violence Prosecutor’s Office, for the corresponding legal purposes.
