SANTO DOMINGO.- Police arrested 2 of four men accused of participating in the theft of several suitcases from inside a valuables truck, without exerting violence, which was parked in the Sambil shopping plaza, and seized two vehicles, a motorcycle , a truck of tires and RD$2,578,600.
The detainees are Eder Wilmore Benjamín and José Manuel Torres, who allegedly admitted their participation in the robbery perpetrated on April 11 inside the securities truck of the company Brink’s Cash Solutions, SA, parked in the ramp area (loading and unloading) of Sambil, located on San Martín avenue, Villa Juana sector, of this capital.
The Policeman He said that the arrests were made through arrest warrants No.0238 and 0240, both issued by the coordinating judge of the National District Investigation Courts.

The Police also reported that they are actively pursuing Henry Tapia García, who is also identified as a participant in the robbery.
Of a fourth involved, his name is reserved, due to aspects of interest in the investigative process.
In the investigative process, the white Daihatsu Mira vehicle was seized, used by the detainees and the fugitive to transport themselves and escape from the scene, after perpetrating the theft of the suitcases.
Similarly, the gray Kia car, license plate PP456695, was seized, purchased for the sum of RD$755,000.00, money from the theft. The Loncin motorcycle, black, without license plate, was also seized, which was purchased with money from the robbery.
The detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry, to be brought to justice, so that a coercive measure is known. The money and vehicles seized in the investigative process are also in the possession of the Public Ministry.
The Police informed that the investigations remain open, to determine other possible implicated, including personnel of the aforementioned securities delivery company.
