This Thursday, the agents of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc) executed two raids in search of Jaime M.who has an arrest warrant against him for the severe aggression that he gave the taxi driver Juan Carlos Villavicencio, allegedly mistaking him for an abuser.
Prosecutor Víctor Hugo Cervantes reported that the process began for the crime of serious injuries and that the main defendant was not found in the raids, so the operations will continue until they find his capture.
“This second raided property belongs to Mr. Juan Carlos M., who would be a policeman, but his brother, Mr. Jaime M., who is the wanted person. The police officer does not have a summons order, but we are analyzing summoning him,” explained Cervantes.
In addition, confirmed that the policeman was present at the attack on the taxi driver according to the witness accounts, but he would not have participated in it, so first Jaime M. will be arrested so that he can testify about the participation that he and his brother had.
This violent attack took place on the night of Sunday, April 2, in the southern part of the city, where the taxi driver Juan Carlos Villavicencio was attacked with an iron by Jaime. This event was filmed by passers-by and the images show the victim imploring them not to hit him and to let him explain his version.
According to the taxi driver’s lawyer, Adrián Arancibia, his defendant was hit by a woman and decided to follow her to her property, from where His father (Jaime) came out directly to attack him, because according to what her daughter told her, a man was chasing her to abuse her.
The lawyer questions that the taxi driver is attacked “brutally with an iron by Jaime and frisked with a weapon of fire by the police”, for which reason he requests that both be apprehended and brought before a precautionary judge.
Furthermore, he says that his defendant has 13 days of impediment, but he points out that the coroner did not take into account the 15 points that were made to his head as a result of the injury and requests that the Prosecutor’s Office expand the crimes for attempted homicide.
