They are looking for a subject who killed an ex-partner and kidnapped the son

Four policemen injured in an ambush

A subject identified as Edgar Arteaga (45) is wanted by security agencies due to his alleged participation in the murder of his former partner Diana Melania Sierra Castillo (38), according to police sources. The woman was injured with a firearm that Arteaga allegedly fired last Wednesday in a building located in the Santa Bárbara urbanization, Santa Teresa del Tuy (Miranda).

According to versions, Arteaga fired seven shots at his former partner and fled taking their son, a 16-year-old minor who suffers from a motor disability.

The badly injured woman was taken to the Santa Teresa del Tuy hospital and later to the Valles de Tuy hospital where she died last Thursday.

Edgar and Diana had been separated since last December due to the constant conflicts that normally led to attacks against women, according to their family and friends.

Already separated, the man tried to get Diana to return with him but she did not accept.

The security agencies maintain a police operation deployed in the wooded areas of the Valles del Tuy because they presume that the subject is sheltered in those areas.
