Child sexual abuse is the punishable act with the most complaints in 2022.
The most reported in 2022 were child sexual abuse, mistreatment of minors under guardianship and rape. To a lesser extent, human trafficking, child pornography, sexual abuse of people under guardianship, pimping, sexual acts against minors and others were recorded.
Data from the Public Ministry reveal that from January to December of the year 2022, 6,153 complaints of alleged punishable acts against children and adolescents registered by the institution, in acts of Child Sexual Abuse, Child Abuse and Rape.
Regarding the commission of the punishable act of Child Sexual Abuse, In 2022, in January there were 216 cases, in February 218, in March 256, in April 226 and in May 418.

In the middle of the year, 405 cases entered, in July 355 and in August 374 cases. In September 358, in October 343, in November 370 and in December 265.
The exposed figures add up to a total of 3,804 cases of Sexual Abuse in Children registered during the mentioned year.
It should also be noted that the highest figures are recorded in Central, Asunción, Alto Paraná, Itapúa and Caaguazú.
Referring to Maltreatment of Children and Adolescents under guardianshipin January there were 125 cases, in February 115, in March 150 and in April 86. Then, in May 139, June 128 cases, in July 116 and in August 107.
Likewise, in September 118 cases, in October 114, in November 123 and in December 131.
The above numbers give a sum of 1,452 cases of Child and Adolescent Abuse under guardianship, from January to December 2022.

With respect to Rape, in January there were 53 cases, in February 59, in March 73, in April 56 and in May 79. In June 79 cases entered, in July 77 and in August 87 cases. In September 76, in October 88, in November 96 and in December 74.
The exposed figures add up to a total of 897 cases of Rape registered during the mentioned year.
The high figures in which Central, Asunción, Alto Paraná, Itapúa and Caaguazúthe areas that registered the highest number of complaints.
Finally, the Public Ministry reported that last year they increased between 10 to 13 victims per dayserving a total of 3,804 victims of Sexual Abuse, another 1,400 for Mistreatment and almost 900 cases of Rape.
