The instagrammer premiered the cover of the song and has caused controversy on social networks.
Colombia News.
Yina Calderón once again caused controversy among users of different digital platforms due to a cover of a romantic vallenato that she transformed into a guaracha, a genre that is gaining more and more strength among lovers of electronic music in our country.
The young woman from Huila adapted the song “How the cold hurts” in his style and released a video in which he appears scantily clad with other friends, a clip that has caused a stir on networks with both positive and negative comments.

«What is that, my God, damaging folklore», «I like this girl who dares no matter what they will say», «No, this is the latest in guaracha», «For God’s sake, what will Master Carrascal think of this », Were some of the comments from Internet users and lovers of vallenato.
Very different from the classic guaracha immortalized in Colombia by ‘El Rey’ Aníbal Velásquez, the one played by the businesswoman in the girdles is more similar to the rhythms digitally produced on consoles or mixers used by DJs.
Here is a part of the video that was released this Friday on the YouTube platform:
How the cold hurts it is a vallenato theme from the album ‘Vallenato Heart’ composed by José Luis Carrascal and recorded in his voice in 2002 by the Codiscos record company.
This hit is one of the flagship songs of Vallenato romantic music and has been performed by other great artists of the genre.
What does the composer think?
After the version released by Yina Calderón, Carrascal gave his opinion in an Instagram comment about this version released by the businesswoman and DJ from Huila.
“Dear Luis Carrascal, we Vallenateros are asking you to tell Yina Calderón that she erase for God is a great offense,” said a Carrascal follower.
Then, he asked him to contact the ex ‘Novel Protagonist’ to remove the content uploaded to his YouTube channel.
“I cannot erase from my eyes, much less from my ears, that guaracha that video making the woman look bad, that she does it with another kind of music, but with yours? What horror,” commented a user in one instagram page post Tracking Celebrities.
Faced with this suggestion, Carrascal responded to his fan in this way:
“The truth with good reason is a very strong theme, today they are doing a lot of damage to folklore,” he said about the adaptation that Yina made to his composition.
