After not achieving the total number of required support signatures, the revocation process of the mandate against Mayor José Luis Fábrega was archived.
This was announced by the direction of the Electoral Organization of the Electoral Tribunal (TE), specifying that the request of the lawyer Roberto Ruiz Díaz, to formally start the recall process, had to reach a minimum of 198 thousand 920 signatures, but only 17 thousand 780 were reached. firms; that is, 8.9% of the total required.
In the Bulletin issued by the SE TE reminds you that there was a period of 120 calendar days, including holidays, holidays and national days to carry out the collection process, however, in that time the task was not achieved, so the cause was archived.
Despite the filing, the TE stated that an appeal is possible against the resolution, within two business days following notification. This will be resolved before the National Directorate of Electoral Organization.
