This Monday, April 25, the Ethics Commission approved the constitutional complaint against the congressman of Peru Libre, Guido Bellidofor the alleged irregular exchange of favors between him (when he was president of the Council of Ministers) and Daniel Abarca, a former official of the Ministry of Tourism and Foreign Trade and godson of the legislator.
“An ex officio complaint against congressman Guido Bellido is approved regarding the reports broadcast on the Panorama program, in which he was allegedly linked to citizen Daniel Abarca Soto in actions that allegedly violate parliamentary ethics”, they published on the Twitter of the Ethics Commission.

As reported, in a Panorama report, the alleged irregular negotiations by Bellido when he was prime minister with Abarca, whom he would have helped to occupy the position of adviser in the Ministry of Tourism and Foreign Trade, according to an investigation by Panorama. In turn, he would have given him plane tickets and made it easier for him to stay in an apartment in San Miguel.
Chats between both officials would reveal illegal arrangements
The alleged irregular events occurred when Bellido assumed as a legislator and received congratulations from his godson, days later to pass him his resume and ask him to place him as vice minister of the Mincetur. After the inauguration of Congressman Free Peru as President of the Council of Ministers, Daniel Abarca insisted on his request, but this time he offered him an apartment in San Miguel (July 30, 2021) “so that he is more comfortable”.

On July 31 they would have met and on August 4 Bellido asked Abarca if he already had his “resolution” for the position he had requested, but Abarca replied that he was only as an advisor. Days later, on August 6, the godson thanks the then prime minister for his “support”. All this could be read in the chats that the report showed.
