The leader of the town of San Pablo, Guarayos province, OAI, 70 years old, He was apprehended by police officers on Tuesday.after a judge issued an arrest warrant against him after being accused of trespassing private property.
The man, who held various neighborhood positions in his native San Pablo, 12 kilometers from the municipality of Ascensión located on the highway to Trinidad, is accused, along with his daughter, LAand two other people, to invade three properties in the area.
The properties where the defendants allegedly settled are: the union San Agustín, Rosario, and Rosario I, that make a total of 400 subjugated hectares, according to the investigation booklet of the Prosecutor’s Office.
José Ruiz Melgar, one of those affected, indicated that bought the Rosario I property from the Áñez family in 1991 and he said that he currently has all the papers up to date, since he paid the municipal taxes and has cleared his debts with the INRA.

For their part, OAI’s relatives indicated that the arrest should not have been carried out because they made it against an elderly person. In addition, they point out that the defendant did not commit the crimes of which he is accused.
However, the representative of the Public Ministry did not consider the argument of the family of the accused. “Crimes are crimes and must be paid” said the prosecutor assigned to the case.
It is expected that the precautionary hearing of the apprehended takes place this Wednesday in the municipality of Ascensión from Guarayos.
