A 20-year-old girl was arrested for abandoning her four-year-old daughter in a public bathroom in the city of El Alto. A woman, who is a relative of the victim, reported that the young mother previously abandoned another of her children in Santa Cruz.
The information was provided by the deputy director of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc), Juan José Donaire.
“She has been brought to the attention of the Prosecutor for the crime of abandoning a minor, after this heartless circumstance against her offspring, that is, her daughter. Inquiries have been made in the extended family (of the girl), an aunt, in this case from the department of Oruro, who also reports that this woman would already have another child that she would also have left behind in those circumstances in the city of Santa Cruz,” Donaire asserted, reported radio Upea.

The 4-year-old girl was sent to a provisional shelter in the city of El Alto, while investigations are carried out into the alleged abandonment of the other child in Santa Cruz.
The girl’s abandonment case arose last week and the mother was found in the last few hours wandering in the October 12 area of El Alto.
The Police also carry out investigations into the circumstances that would have led the woman to abandon her children.
