The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) announced that the President of the Republic will submit to the consideration of the Senate the designation of new diplomatic representatives, which include the historian and columnist of the day Pedro Agustín Salmerón, as ambassador in Panama; Leopoldo de Gyves, political and social leader from Oaxaca, in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and the writer and journalist Guillermo Zamora, head of the Mexican representation in Nicaragua.
The proposal of Carlos Miguel Aysa, former governor of Campeche, as ambassador to the Dominican Republic was also announced; the former governor of Sonora, Claudia Pavlovich, to the consulate in Barcelona, Spain; Alfonso Suárez del Real, current head of office of the Government Headquarters of Mexico City, as head of the liaison office in Strasbourg, seat of the European Parliament, and the writer Laura Beatriz Esquivel as the representative of Brazil.
Bruno Figueroa, current ambassador to the Republic of Korea, would go to the Mexican legation in Portugal; Amparo Anguiano, general director for Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East of the SRE would go to the embassy in Romania, and Marcos Moreno, until now commissioner of the chancery in the Ministry of the Interior, will be head of the consulate in Nogales.
Other changes are: Norma Pensado, Mexican ambassador to the Russian Federation, will go to Denmark; Carlos Peñafiel will change from the headquarters in the Dominican Republic to that of Korea; María Victoria Romero, until today coordinator for the G20, Mikta and Political Issues with European Countries of the SRE, will go to the Mexican embassy in Azerbaijan; Eduardo Villegas Megías, coordinator of Historical and Cultural Memory of Mexico, to the Russian Federation; and Carolina Zaragoza Flores, General Director of Cultural Services, will be in charge of Ireland.
Finally, it was announced that Alicia Bárcenas will be the new general director of the Matías Romero Institute once her position at the head of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean ends.

The national president of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno, warned the former governors of Campeche, Carlos Miguel Aysa, and of Sonora, Claudia Pavlovich, that if they accept the diplomatic positions for which the President they will be expelled
