Miami, United States. – This Thursday, August 7, the Baseball Academy “61 Pro Academy”, initiative of the District 3 Commissioner, Joe Carollo, will be officially inaugurated in Miami, in collaboration with the former Major League Liván Hernández, As reported by the Miami City Council on its social networks.
The opening event will take place at 6:00 pm in Shenondoah Park (1800 SW 21 Ave., Miami 33145).
The Academy will offer high quality free training for children and young people between seven and 14 years old, regardless of their level, under Hernández’s supervision and experience. The objective is to allow participants to develop skills and achieve their maximum sports potential, while promoting community and personal development through baseball.
The official publication indicates that the initiative seeks:
- Guarantee free access to high -level baseball training.
- Promote the integral development of children and young athletes in the community.
- Promote baseball as a personal and community growth tool.
Who is Liván Hernández?
Eisler Liván Hernández Carrera was born on February 20, 1975 in Villa Clara, Cuba. It was a right pitcher who played 17 seasons in the big leagues (MLB) for nine different teams, including the Florida Marlins, San Francisco Giants, Montreal Exhibition, Washington Nationals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers.
He is half brother of the pitcher Orlando The Duke Hernández.
