Pope Francis this Friday summoned the entire world for a “Universal Prayer for Peace”, which was broadcast from the Vatican and followed in various countries, including Paraguay.
During this religious activity, the Supreme Pontiff consecrated Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, asking for the cessation of the armed conflict in which both nations are involved.
The ceremony was accompanied by all the bishops of the world, who also made the invocation in their respective dioceses. In Asunción, the convocation was at the Metropolitan Cathedral, with Archbishop Adalberto Martínez.
