The Ministry of Internal Trade agreed with the milling and bakery sector to keep the price of bread stable until December 31 to ensure citizens can “access a wide range and predictable prices for the end of the year festivities.”

The agreement was reached after the meeting held by the Secretary of Internal Trade, Roberto Feletti, together with the Undersecretary of Policies for the Internal Market, Antonio Mezmezian, with representatives of the milling industry and the Industrial Bakery Federation of the province of Buenos Aires .

At the meeting, a table was set up to coordinate a work agenda among all sectors from January 2022, in order to “develop a comprehensive policy that allows for stability and remove volatility from the price of wheat for the domestic market.”
