The Academy of Sciences From the Dominican Republic (ACRD) on Friday he has made available to the country’s authorities of the country, in order to contribute in the research on the roof collapse that occurred in the Jet Setearly Tuesday, April 8.
MANUEL RAMÓN HERRERA CARBUCCIAPresident of the ACRD, stressed that the institution has highly trained technicians who can contribute to determining the causes of the fact “without falling into hurried judgments”, and thereby contributing to an improvement in structural safety standards in the country.
Emphasizing the need for a technical and objective approach, the academy stressed that the case must be clarified with scientific rigorwhich implies a deep evaluation of the technical, structural and environmental conditions involved.
“Our team is prepared to carry out a comprehensive study that allows to determine precisely the factors that could have caused this unfortunate fact,” said Herrera Carbuccia through a statement.
The entity reaffirmed its commitment to the Citizen Securityinstitutional strengthening and the promotion of a culture based on knowledge and risk prevention. In that sense, he called that all studies and technical reports related to the case develop with transparency, objectivity and under the highest scientific and quality standards.
