They advise approving the ‘Commuter Train’ project with modifications

The Legislation, Codification, Justice and Labor Commission, headed by Senator Hugo Richer, held its ordinary meeting, with the aim of analyzing various points that made up the agenda. The activity took place from the session room of the Upper House.

Thus, during the meeting, the bill “Establishing special provisions and financing for the execution and implementation of the ‘Commuter Train project in the section between the city of Asunción and the city of Ypacarai” was analyzed, in charge of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) and the company Ferrocarriles del Paraguay SA (FEPASA); and the signing of the respective sub-concession contract is authorized”, presented by senators Rodolfo Friedmann, Ramón Retamozo, Juan Darío Monges, Hermelinda Ortega, Oscar Salomón, Patrick Kemper, Lucas Aquino, Miguel Fulgencio Rodríguez and Salyn Buzarquis.

Members of the Treasury and Budget, Public Works and Communications, Departmental, Municipal, District and Regional Affairs, Energy, Natural Resources, Population, Environment, Production and Sustainable Development, and the Commission of Accounts and Control of the Financial Administration of the State.

Representatives from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, Ferrocarriles del Paraguay SA and the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation Construction Company were also invited.
