The deputy of the Citizen Community, Marcelo Pedraza, denounced that the Attorney General of the State “uses” officials to “persecute” opposition leaders. DHe explained that the complaint filed during office hours by Rolando Cruz Pemintel, One of the members of the Trial Promotion Committee (CIJ), is a representative of the Attorney General’s Office in Chuquisaca.
“Wilfredo Chávez uses officials from the Attorney General’s Office to persecute opponents. The new complaint filed against opposition leaders for the crime of genocide and others was presented by an official of the Chuquisaca Attorney General’s Office during office hours. Evo’s Lawyer, The Attorney General’s Office is not an institution to defend the interests of its clientless to build that false narrative of a coup d’état, ”said the legislator, through a video on Twitter.
On Thursday, Cruz filed a criminal complaint with the Attorney General’s Office against more than 20 opponents for the political and social crisis of 2019, in which he included former minister Carlos Sánchez Berzaín.
“(Carlos Sanchez and Erick Foronda) are the ones who have instigated from the United States to the seizure of institutions. They are the ones who have instigated many people to remove Evo Morales and Álvaro García Linera from their status as president,” he argued.
The complainant appears registered as a worker of the Attorney General’s Office, according to the registry of the State Comptroller General’s Office.
