The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), through the Productive Development Program Agrarian Rural (Agro Rural), launched on Monday, June 6, at 11:59 pm, a new public call for the selection of international urea suppliers. The measure is made after the evaluation committee declared the first purchase process void.
In that line, Rural Agriculture He explained that, in accordance with the letter of intent 155-2022 published on the entity’s website, companies that are satisfied with the requirements may send their proposals to the email [email protected] until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, June 9 (Peruvian time).
Requirements for bidders
According to the technical specifications issued by the Agro Rural User Area, the participating companies must submit the following:
- A technical sheet or equivalent document that certifies compliance with the technical characteristics, such as the concentration of a minimum of 45% and a maximum of 46% nitrogen
- The substance will have to have a granulometry in a range of 1 mm to 5 mm, among other specifications.
- The bidder must attach to its offer or intention, which must be written in Spanish, the ISO quality certificate or other valid international accreditation of the production company.
- The presentation of the urea may be in bulk or in a 50-kilo polyethylene bag. If you opt for this last presentation, you must follow what is described in the attached annex of the technical specifications.
- The supplier must accompany his proposal with the conditions of the insurance to be contracted.
- You will have to submit the official composition certificate of the country of origin, which is issued associated with the product or another document of similar probative value.
- The supplier will deliver 73,529 tons in two parts and in the ports of Salaverry, port of Callao and the port of Matarani. Being the first delivery, not less than 40% of the total product, up to 45 calendar days, counted from the notification of the acceptance of the offer by the entity; while the second (the balance of the total fertilizer) will be up to 15 calendar days counted from the arrival of the first delivery.
- Finally, the term and place to unload by port will be determined and notified 10 calendar days after the acceptance of the offer or intention of the supplier/exporter is communicated; which may be subject to negotiation by the parties.
