The Emergency Operations Center (COE) maintains 07 provinces and the National District on yellow alert and 15 on green alert, due to a cold front located over the Wind Channel inducing a pre-frontal trough, so it is expected to continue the downpours.
The provinces on yellow alert are: Santo Domingo, National District, María Trinidad Sánchez, La Altagracia, Duarte, Samaná, San Cristóbal and Monte Plata.
On green alert are: Hermanas Mirabal, Puerto Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, La Vega, Valverde, Monseñor Nouel, Espaillat, Hato Mayor, Santiago, El Seibo, Dajabón, La Romana, Santiago Rodríguez, Monte Cristi and Sánchez Ramírez.
In addition, the agency reported on the current conditions of the level of the Motion Dam, with the current level and the average inlet flow of 23.70 m3/s and the outlet flow of 15.25 m3/s, the dam would be producing laminate or discharges in 6 days. .
In this sense, people are recommended to refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have high volumes of water in the provinces under alert.
Likewise, fragile and small boats are advised to take caution due to reduced visibility, resulting from the occurrence of heavy downpours, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.
