THE NEW WAYS OF TOURISM, ACCORDING TO OSTELEA
The educational center has defined five forms of tourism that will be taken in 2022. These are:
– Sustainable tourism: It is here to stay and sustainability has become the key word in recent times. Not only in terms of travel, but in the new ways of how human beings are looking at life. In addition, being a sustainable tourist involves worrying about and taking care of the protection of the tourist sites that are visited, respect for the host communities and the cultural and natural heritage of the destination.

– Nature tourism: The trips are made in the framework of nature, relaxation and enjoyment of the environment, in addition to the practice of activities related to natural areas. Within this framework, there is a varied offer of activities for travelers. Its activity is quite diversified and revolves around contact with nature and its preservation, which is why it is deeply linked to sustainable tourism.
Within this trend are: agrotourism (related to agriculture issues), The ecotourism (protection of preserved natural spaces), wild tourism (in contact with animals in their natural habitat) and adventure tourism (carrying out activities such as mountaineering, hiking, climbing, among others).
– Sports tourism: emotion and adrenaline living in two ways: as a fan or as an athlete. The main reason that moves this type of tourist is the celebration of sporting events beyond the borders of the country where they reside.

– Business and event tourism: As globalization and technology advance, business tourism, also known as MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions), is gaining ground within the tourism sector. By definition, the individual who does business tourism travels due to the need to comply with labor and professional matters such as: conventions, events, congresses or exhibitions.
– Gastronomic tourism: Smell and taste are part of cultural tourism, however, in this case, the tourist only seeks to taste the local gastronomy and not explore other cultural areas. The gastronomic activities include the tasting of as many dishes and drinks as possible and the experience of all the culinary activities related to them.
