Unanimously, the 91 Sandinista deputies and their satellites in the National Assembly approved on November 22, in general and in the first legislature, the bill of total reforms, disguised as partial, to the Political Constitution of Nicaragua.
After reading the opinion of the call Special Constitutional Commission, made up of the Board of Directors of the Legislature, only the president of Parliament, the political operator of the regime Gustavo Porras, took the floor, who threatened the deputies of “the other benches” with “reviewing the vote” if the reforms were not approved. unanimous and called “stupid” the non-Sandinista legislators who have voted against the laws they have proposed.
In less than 48 hours, that commission issued the favorable law opinion to immediately give way to the approval of the constitutional reform, with which the dictators Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo refound the State of Nicaragua to establish themselves as “monarchs.” of the country, controlling all the powers of the State.
There was no discussion or speeches of support or points of view from any legislator, and after Porras’ words, they proceeded to the vote that lasted less than a minute so that the 91 deputies, including Sandinistas and stilts, pressed the button with what they changed the republican constitutional history of Nicaragua, to give way to the dynasty with monarchical characteristics that the tyrants Ortega and Murillo have established.
There are 130 articles reformed and 38 repealed, after which Rosario Murillo becomes “co-president” of Nicaragua, in addition, supreme chief of the Army, the intervention of the armed forces in the repression of popular demonstrations is authorized and elevated to rank constitutional the existence of the paramilitary forces with the name of “Voluntary Police”, the same one that massacred the people during the social protests of 2018.
Unmistakable with her eccentric multicolored suits and hands full of rings and bracelets, Rosario Murillo, 73, is the powerful and omnipresent wife of President Daniel Ortega, who now makes her rank of co-president official with a constitutional reform.
The government will have a co-president and a co-president with a term of six years, not five as currently, according to the text approved unanimously by Congress, controlled by the ruling Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN, left).
The reform leaves on paper what was in fact. Ortega had called her co-president publicly for the first time at an event in 2021, and in 2023 he expressed his intention to translate it into the Constitution.
