According to the complaint, the priest Manuel Salvador Garcia, pastor of the El Calvario church in Nandaime, and Monsignor Leonard Urbina, of the parish of Perpetuo Socorro de Boaco, are defenseless because “one continues without a trusted lawyer and the other’s sentence was finalized because the lawyer missed the time allowed by law to appeal.”
Morazán pointed out that the situation is “ironic” given the number of donors there are to pay fees and lawyers who have offered to handle the cases for free.
