International organizations FIDH, IACHR, Amnesty International, the Mesoamerican Initiative of Women Human Rights Defenders (IM- Defensoras), the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (Oacnudh), Cejil, Raza e Igualdad, among others , energetically repudiated the new “arbitrariness of the regime without even a trial” of stripping another 04 Nicaraguans of their nationality.
They expressed their solidarity in particular with Dr. Vilma Nunez de Escorcia, president of the Nicaraguan Center for Human Rights (Cenidh), who, they say, is “at risk” in Nicaragua; and they ask that its integrity and security be guaranteed.

The Under Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs of the United States Department of State, Brian Nicholsadded to the wave of condemnations that the regime’s decision has provoked, describing the act as “deplorable that distances Nicaraguans from the democracy they deserve.”
In addition, Peter Stanospokesperson for the European Union, stated that “these actions are unjustifiable and increase the risk of deepening Nicaragua’s international isolation” and asked the regime to reverse them immediately.
Human rights defense lawyers described as “unconstitutional” and lacking “legality” the recent attack by the regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo against 94 Nicaraguans, who were stripped of their nationality, their political rights and confiscated their assets.
The list of those affected includes priests, human rights defenders, former officials of the dictatorship, opponents and journalists.
The lawyer and former official of the JudiciaryYader Morazanwhom the Nicaraguan regime included in the list of alleged fugitives from justice, denounced that what is “surprising” is that judges and magistrates “make a simulation of the process, believing that just by wearing a toga, those decisions have some kind of appearance of legality or legitimacy”.

The Italian Prosecutor’s Office reported that the arrest of Fray Damián Muratori, who was expelled from Nicaragua after being accused by the Rome authorities of the alleged crime of sexual violence, was made effective.
The religious was arrested on Wednesday, February 15, by the Italian Police after his arrival at the Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport in Rome.
The priest, belonging to the Franciscan order, lived in Nicaragua for more than 40 years and was in charge of the El Tepeyac Sanctuary, in San Rafael del Norte, Jinotega.
Muratori’s expulsion from Nicaragua occurred after the religious spoke out for the imprisonment of Monsignor Rolando Álvarez.
