The Vice Minister of Domestic Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, informed citizens that the government of President Luis Abinader has ratified its commitment to ensure the well-being of all Dominicans, maintaining a subsidy of RD$88.8 million for this week.
For this week from September 21 to 27, 2024, the subsidy for key products for domestic consumption will be maintained to avoid transferring increases in the international market to the population.
“These subsidies will be applied mainly to LPG at more than 9 pesos, and to regular diesel at almost two pesos per gallon, with the aim of not impacting the family economy. This represents a net sacrifice in these two products alone of close to RD$88.8 million,” explained the vice minister.
