The change is part of the strategy established in the 2025 Master Plan, as well as the Mexico Government line to simplify, digitize, reduce deadlines and eliminate requirements in government procedures.
The redesign has the option in a clear and dark way, as well as responsive; In addition to adapting to cell phones and tablets.
At the moment, the SAT page already has the updates of the first stage.
Main changes on the SAT page
Upon entering to https://www.sat.gob.mx/portal/public/home The first thing we see are two options: New taxpayer and Continue to the site. This was not contemplated in the previous version of the site, which was more widespread.
So that people who are going to register for the SAT for the first time, be as a natural or moral person, have its own section with the description of the processes and links necessary to do the procedures.
In the option to continue to the site, it shows the general options and banners with ads. In the first part, it is dedicated to procedures and services; the second to minisites; the third to transparency and in the end the general links of the federal government.
The distribution intends to separate the procedures by legal personality. The first row of boxes is dedicated to natural persons, while the second is for moral people.
In the upper bar, the options were simplified: start, procedures and services, people, companies, tax mailbox, fiscal calendar and the search option.
In the persons section, the boxes for tax regime appear. In companies, the same thing happens.
In these options, actions are integrated according to the taxpayer’s situation: register, identify, enable, invoice, declare and update. It also has links for procedures, tutorials, frequent questions, related content and documents.
The design seems to better integrate the SAT resources ecosystem so that taxpayers can carry out their procedures. Micrositium links or procedure platforms, such as billing, have no changes.
First version with failures
The statement determines that the current platform is in the first stage of development and shows at times, especially in the load capacity of the site.
The page usually fails on several occasions, especially if there is a momentary closure and is resumed. In case of visiting it from the cell phone and the browser closed, when you open the screen it remains blank. Update or refresh to the page does not work, it is necessary to search and enter the SAT portal again.
This error was also replicated in the desktop version.
