Amazon announced this Thursday that it intends to hire 250,000 full-time, part-time and temporary workers in its transportation and distribution departments to clients in the United States ahead of the Christmas holidays.

According to Amazon, all temporary employees earn at least $18 per hour and have access to “comprehensive” benefits such as health coverage “from day one.”
Full-time jobs also offer access to educational programs such as Career Choice‘, through which Amazon advances the payment of the tuition of its employees so that they obtain university degrees or certificates.

Additionally, the e-commerce giant provides access to a earned pay, medical, vision and dental insurance and the 401 (k) plan, a personal pension account.
Likewise, it guarantees up to 20 weeks of paid pregnancy or paternity leave for biological parents, and six weeks for adoptive parents that meet a series of requirements.
Finally, jobs include the ‘Resources for Living’ program, which offers mental health and financial services to employees and their families.
