There will be downpours with thunderstorms and wind gusts, in demarcations of the northeast, northwest, southwest and the Central Cordillera, mostly in the afternoon; while the Emergency Operations Center (Coe), raised the provinces on alert to 15 due to the rains that are registered in the country.
ANDn yellow alert there are the provinces of Hato Mayor, La Vega, Santiago, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, Monte Plata, San José de Ocoa, San Pedro de Macorís, María Trinidad Sánchez and Duarte, especially the area of Bajo Yuna; in green there are Santiago Rodríguez, San Juan, Samaná, Puerto Plata and Greater Santo Domingo.
People residing in alert areas are urged to take measures to help avoid loss of life and property damage and not to cross rivers.
Onamet predicts that temperatures they will remain hot in much of the national territory.
