Nacional Potosí breathes in the Sudamericana. They managed to beat a Sportivo Trinidense team on the hour mark that chose to take refuge throughout the match, and still had taken the lead on the scoreboard. Despite the blow they received, Nacional recovered and made it 2-1 on the hour mark.

The match was marked by the constant dominance of Nacional Potosí, who handled the ball and created numerous scoring opportunities throughout the 90 minutes. However, the lack of aim and the defensive solidity of Sportivo Trinidense kept the scoreboard unchanged for much of the game.

The surprise came in the 29th minute when Alan Pereira took advantage of an error in the delivery of the ball by the Potosí defense to put Sportivo Trinidense ahead. But Nacional Potosí’s reaction was immediate, and in the 68th minute Samuel Galindo tied the game with a spectacular goal from outside the area.

The drama intensified minute 82 when a penalty was scored in favor of Nacional Potosí, after a foul on Óscar Baldomar. However, after a VAR review, the referee decided to annul the sanction, keeping the score tied.

Finally, In the 92nd minute, Nacional Potosí found victory with a goal from William Álvarezwho took advantage of a rebound after a shot by Martín Prost to seal the victory on the hour mark.

With this result, Nacional Potosí keeps its hopes alive in the Copa Sudamericana, although they will have to face a difficult challenge when facing Boca Juniors in La Bombonera on the last date of the group, next Wednesday, May 29. The result of that match, combined with the confrontation between Fortaleza and Boca on the previous date, will determine the second place in the group.
