The 2023 Primera División B tournament, the third category of the League system directly supervised by the Paraguayan Football Association, returns with 17 teams seeking promotion to the semi-professional circle.
Tomorrow afternoon, with the commitment between Tembetary and President Hayes in Villa Elisa, start the 81st edition of the tournament oldest valid of the ascent.
This year the contest takes the name of “Tribute to Bernarda Aquino Vda. From Colman” with 17 teams in action that they will fight back and forth, 34 dates (256 games in total), all against all.
The champion will ascend directly to the Intermediate Division 2024 and the runner-up will dispute the third and last ticket (The second corresponds to Encarnación FC, Interliga champion) with the champion of the National First Division B 2023 (UFI).
The last two classified in the table of averages will lose the category and they will play in Primera División C in 2024.

The new to the Division are Benjamín Aceval and Deportivo Humaitáchampion and vice-champion, respectively, of the 2022 Primera División C tournament. They are also River Plate and Sportivo Iteño (descended from Intermediate 2022).
