The National Survey on the Dynamics of Relationships in Households (Endireh) 2021 it is the best instrument we have to guide public policies prevention, care, punishment and eradication of violence against the female population, said Fabiola Alanís, head of the National Commission to Prevent and Eradicate Violence against Women.

At a press conference of the Inter-institutional Group of the Strategy against Violence against Women and Girls, Alejandra Ríos Cázares, deputy general director of development, analysis and government indicators of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, specified that the survey showed that for women aged 15 and over there was a significant increase in violence in social settings (school, work and community).

Nadine Gasman, president of the National Institute for Women, assured that it should be challenge men to change their way of living and to conceive of women as objects and not as partners in life.

Ríos Cázares explained that 32.3 percent of women aged 15 and over who have attended school experienced some type of violence throughout their life as a student, and the main type of violence is physical, with 18.3 percent; it is followed by sexual, with 17.9 percent. He stressed that the Endireh generated information on protocols for attention to problems of violence in educational establishments.

In the workplace, the main aggressors throughout life were colleagues or co-workers, and the second are the bosses, but in the past 12 months this second person was the clients.

There is a total prevalence of 27.9 percent for those women who worked at some point in life, and the most frequent violence is labor discriminationwith 21.7 percent.

The most common discrimination was having had less opportunity before a man to be promoted, with 10.8 percent, while 9.8 percent were paid less than a man for the same job.
