The president of the Federation of Municipal Savings and Credit Funds (FEPCMAC), Jorge Solis, recalled that both José Jerí, who today is president of Parliament, and Ilich López, third vice president, promoted the proposal when they led the Economy Commission.

“The text they promoted is rudely intervessionist because it intends that members of the Economy and Budget commissions are part of the Board of Directors. They threaten the autonomy of the boxes. That is why we demand and demand that by decorum and decency, both congressmen refrain from promoting this disastrous law proposal,” he said.

He also pointed out that these financial entities belong to the State, but that no politician should do management in them, otherwise there is a risk that good corporate governance remains.

In this regard, Jorge Solis stressed that there is ignorance about the functioning of the boxes that, as he reiterated, must be kept away from any political management as would be intended with the parliamentary initiative.

“Mr. Ilich López is unaware that some boxes have strategic partners. In the case of Caja Huancayo, a representative of the Inter -American Development Bank (IDB) has in the Board of Directors (IDB). The boxes need administrative, economic and financial independence and independence,” he added.
