One year after Panama has a new President, 15 years and three governments will have elapsed where economic and political interests, through patronage and corruption, have divided up the country, with a National Assembly that has lost all credibility and a Executive that does not govern, said today the presidential candidate for the Popular Party (PP), Martín Torrijos Espino.

“The National Assembly lost all credibility due to the conduct of its members. Some seem to enjoy letting the population know that they enjoy impunity; They don’t care about us” affirms the ex-president, while he assures that “the Executive no longer governs the country; he abandoned his responsibilities and has concentrated on imposing an official candidacy using state resources.”

In a video broadcast on his social networks, the presidential candidate adds that it is enough to look at decentralization to know how far those who govern are willing to take the country, where “there is no law or principles that are valid.”

“We are living through a deep crisis and there are no answers, nor will, nor capacity to face it; Panamanian families are worried and have a feeling of abandonment and frustration; We all know that Panama can’t take it anymore; that we have to rescue our nation, ”she underlines.

He ruled that the serious circumstances in which Panamanians live demand urgent change and solutions for families, but this can change, because “among all of us we can do it, it depends on ourselves and our vote to choose who will govern the country.”

“Up to you!. If you want to rescue Panama, if you join a project capable of uniting the nation, capable of returning the future to our youth and a present with opportunities for all Panamanians, says Torrijos Espino.

It reiterates that everyone together can renew the policy with decency and honesty; that this will not be another election because “you decide if we recover Panama or leave it to indifference and corruption”, for which he trusts that the men and women of this country “will know how to clean our house.”
