“There are already three consortiums that have paid the right to participate. From now until March 15, they have the deadline to deposit the financial documentation to validate it, ”he said.
He recalled that the partner that results for the project must invest US$577 million in four years, with which 4,700 hotel rooms would be built.
“Soon we will be able to announce which has been chosen to develop in partnership with the Dominican State this great project that will mark the country’s tourism history,” he insisted.
The official also announced that they expect to award this week the first infrastructure project to be developed under a public-private partnership contract, which consists of the conversion of the Duarte port in Arroyo Barril, Samaná, into a cruise terminal and facilitation center. complementary tourism, an initiative that will promote, he said, great economic dynamism in this province and in nearby communities.
He also said that they are working non-stop to start the competitive process for the construction of the Pedernales international airport, which will be located in the municipality of Oviedo, and actions are being accelerated to complete the work on the internal roads of the project, the hydrosanitary works, advance the aqueduct, the treatment plant and the electrical substation.
