These clashes began on November 19 in the villages of Los Pinos and Las Delicias in the municipality of Puerto Guzmán in the department of Putumayo.

In the same communiqué, the community was informed that: “The guerrilla units remain in the area and continue the advance,” in addition to confirming that two of their men were slightly injured.

They also made reference to the prisoner of war and warned that in the next few days they will be presenting a survival video, “we respect his integrity and his life.”

On the other hand, the governor of Putumayo emphasized that “there are around 350 troops in this sector along the different rivers,” in order to restore order in the area.

Through unofficial information through social networks, it was learned that on Sunday inhabitants of the villages took the bodies of the deceased to the town center of José María.

Yuri Quinterocoordinator of the Putumayo Human Rights Network, told a media outlet that there were displacements.

After the confrontation, around 15 families came out to the José María village.

“The people are currently in the church, supported by the priest of the village.”

“But they have told us about more than 20 displaced families, and the most likely thing is that the others are on the Caquetá side,” they said.
