The first search was carried out on February 15, in a building located in the La Escondida community in Zacatecas -the capital-, a procedure in which a woman was arrested. In addition, evidence was collected that led to the probable participation of her in the events with respect to a second person, also female.
Both women were presented before the Control Judge who informed them of their rights, as well as the facts for which they are being investigated.
The second search was carried out on the night of February 17 and early morning of February 18, in compliance with a court order in a subdivision in the city of Zacatecas, derived from an anonymous call to 911.
Three men were arrested at the scene, while two lifeless bodies, a man and a woman, were found buried, the latter identified as one of the five young university students kidnapped on February 12, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
