After an “attack with explosives” that occurred early Wednesday morning in El Carmen, Catatumbo, a rural area of Norte de Santander and with serious public order problems, nine soldiers died, including soldiers and non-commissioned officers, and nine were injured.
It was an ambush at the military base in that region.
This already generates strong criticism, due to the commitment of Paz Total and dialogues with the ELN, if this group was the author of these deaths.

Later it was learned that the number of soldiers who were victims of the attack had increased, with 9 deaths and others wounded.
After that, Petro posted on his Twitter again, this time linked to the dialogues with the ELN, “I have called for a consultation with the government delegation at the ELN table, guarantor and accompanying countries. A peace process must be serious and responsible with the Colombian society”, he said.
