The year closed

The year closed

CECAP Melo did it with an exhibition of works

Despite the bad weather, students, educators, teachers and management team of the Melo Educational Training, Art and Production Center carried out the closing activity of the year.

Although the original idea was to hold the exhibition in outdoor spaces, the rain led to a change of plans, but the essence was maintained: to show families and the community in general the work carried out during 2025.

“We had a beautiful day at CECAP. Despite the rain, the crowd came alive and had a wonderful party at this year-end closing event. Very happy to have received them and to close this year with very nice results” synthesized Cecilia Pintos.

During the year the students worked based on the 4 elements of nature: earth, fire, water and air. “From there, different stations were set up where gastronomic tastings could be done with preparations made by the children themselves, with the 4 areas they chose from the department with an investigation and a historical, cultural and musical tour. This is the result of the work throughout the year. This is what was done in all the workshops because every year we take on different themes in our center project. This time it was the 4 elements of nature associated with the departmental culture. It was a very nice process” said to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.

“Every day we discovered things that sometimes someone who lives here did not know, did not know. It was a nice process, the gurises took ownership of many issues that arose throughout the year where we met and recognized each other” stressed the CECAP Coordinator.

In this non-formal education proposal, young people not only learn in the workshops but also acquire values and socialize. “Many walks, many exchanges, things that enrich the gurises. All of these are tools for them to reintegrate into the formal educational system and be able to continue their life projects” Cecilia Pintos pointed out.

ALMOST 20 YOUNG PEOPLE FINISHED THE BASIC CYCLE

This year, 17 boys graduated from the Basic Cycle through the Rediscover Program that CECAP carries out in conjunction with the General Directorate of Technical and Professional Education through, in this case, the Higher Technical School of Melo. “Now they are ready to take the Baccalaureate” held.

“Another 20 gurises are going to UTU to continue the Basic Cycle” revealed while highlighting the results that are being achieved in the midst of an entire work process.

WITH OPEN REGISTRATIONS

The wish of the entire team is that 2026 is an even better year than the one that ends. “We receive registrations all year round, but for this formal proposal that we have with UTU, the months of December and February are always the most important” he remembered.

The offer is aimed at all children who are between 14 and 20 years old and who have not completed the Basic Cycle. Under this modality, students will be able to complete basic secondary education in 2 years, thus saving a year of studies. “It is a well-integrated proposal where they attend from 8 to 15 hours, receiving breakfast and lunch. Here you do not need supplies to study, you do not need a uniform and you also receive the financial scholarship of $ 1000 per month that helps a lot” Pintos reported.

LEARN BY DOING AND EXPERINING

For pure CECAP, registrations are received throughout the year under the same conditions for admission in terms of age and levels of previous studies. “The workshops are from 8 to 12, but those who want to stay for lunch can do so” express.

“We want them to be encouraged, to come because it is a very nice proposal where our main slogan is Learn by Doing and Experimenting” said the CECAP Coordinator.

In the end-of-course exhibition it was possible to see what was done during the year in the textile, computer, audiovisual, recreation and sports workshops, among others. “There were artistic performances, they played the piano, the drums, in a party that went really well” Cecilia Pintos concluded by saying.
