The White Lotus renewed for a second season
None could cope The White Lotuswhich HBO premiered last summer without the hype or promotion of other titles, but thanks to word of mouth and good reviews it has become one of the current benchmarks of the emblematic channel.
In fact, despite the fact that its creators conceived the story as a six-episode miniseries, HBO has already confirmed that there will be a second installment with a cast, setting, and plots different from the first, but that will be governed by the same premise.
The White Lotus satirizes and points out the most jarring aspects of class and race differences in the United States by recreating a luxury hotel in Hawaii where the superficial problems of the wealthy clients prevail and take precedence over the harsh reality of many of its employees.
The second installment will repeat the same idea but will place its action in Sicily (Italy).
In addition to winning the Emmy for best miniseries, the fiction also distributed two awards to its creator Mike White, (best direction and screenplay), supporting actor Murray Barlett and actress Jennifer Coolidge.
