The White House turns back to the freezing of federal aid

The Office of Administration and Budget of the White House (OMB, for its acronym in English) annulled the freezing of federal aid, which had been announced at the beginning of the week by memorandum.

Another memorandum of the interim director of the OMB, Matthew Vaeth, left the previous directive canceled.

The White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said from X that although the first memorandum had been terminated, Trump’s decrees that frozen foreign assistance and ended with the initiatives of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are still in force .

CNN He recalled that the OMB had ordered to pause federal subsidies and loans, according to Monday’s internal memorandum, a measure that unleashed confusion and concern between beneficial organizations and educators.

Although the White House advisors publicly held the media for confusion publicly, they added that the Administration had received an avalanche of calls from legislators and state officials with questions about their impact on their states of origin.

On Tuesday afternoon, a federal judge temporarily blocked part of the Trump administration plans to freeze all federal aid.

The senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer, alleged Wednesday that the Trump administration had reversed the freezing after a “protest throughout the United States” exerted political pressure on the White House.

Schumer had defined this decision as “illegal, dangerous, destructive, cruel” and a “robbery.” Trump’s decision pausar federal subsidies and loans aroused generalized democratic resistance.

This is Trump’s first pitfall, who since his inauguration on January 20 has issued an avalanche of executive orders, many of which have been challenged in court. The argument for this is that the Republican president is exceeding the powers confirmed, analyzes point.

Meanwhile, this Wednesday Trump signed the Laken Riley Law, the first legislative norm of his government that requires the detention and possible deportation of people who are in the United States without residence permission and who are accused of robbery without violence and violent crimes even before they have been convicted.
