The White House confirmed on Monday that President Joe Biden intends to seek re-election in 2024 despite the fact that recent polls among Democrats indicate that the president is not among the favorites.
“As he has said several times, including recently, he intends to compete,” said the White House spokeswoman, Karine Jean-Pierre.
The official was asked if the president was “concerned” about the polls that show him far from the first places among the Democrats.
According to a survey by the American newspaper Washington Post and the ABC network, only 35% of the electorate related to the Democratic Party wants Biden to be the candidate of that force.

“Only 35% of Democratic-leaning Democrats and independents favor Biden for the 2024 nomination; 56% want the party to choose someone else”indicated ABC television about the joint survey.
Jean-Pierre did not expand on her statement, explaining that she was “limited” in giving more information, adding only that Biden’s focus “is not on himself” but on “continuing to serve the American people.”
