Santo Domingo.- Scattered and occasional rainsaccompanied by isolated wind gustswill be recorded this Thursday in different areas of the country, due to the incidence of a weak trough and the influence of moderate northeast windreported the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
The institution explained that from the early hours of the morning the rainfall will mainly affect localities in the Atlantic coastal coastlineamong them María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná, Duarte, Hermanas Mirabal, Sánchez Ramírez, La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor and Monte Plataas well as nearby areas.
Indomet indicated that, during the afternoon, the rains could slightly increase in frequency and extend to the towns of Sánchez Ramírez, Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Greater Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal and San José de Ocoa, as well as areas of the Central Mountain Range, the Atlantic coast and the border strip.

Regarding temperatures, the agency indicated that they will remain niceespecially in mountainous areas and inland valleysproduct of the winter season and the fresh northeast wind. Likewise, they are not ruled out episodes of fog or mistmainly in towns of Barahona, San Juan, Neiba and the Cibao region.
