In this election of justices of the peace, citizens are allowed to vote from the age of 15, only by presenting their identity card and although it was organized by the Ministry of Communes, it has the logistical support of the CNE, which had more of 4 thousand voting centers, despite the fact that the official page of the electoral entity is still not operational
The vice president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quintero, reported – around 6:00 pm this Sunday, December 15 – the extension of two more for the vote of the Justices of the Peace, which is carried out carried out in the 4,862 communal circuits of Venezuela.
«The Electoral Commission has just met to evaluate the electoral situation, participation at the national level. We have important numbers (…) In that sense, the electoral commission has decided that we are going to extend the extension for the vote; That is, the voting centers will close at 8:00 at night. If voters remain in line at 8:00 p.m., the center must remain open until the last voter votes,” Quintero said in telephone contact with VTV.
This Sunday, December 15, elections will be held by direct vote for the representatives of justice in the Communes: the Judges of the Peace, who will have the responsibility of establishing the mechanisms of organization and operation of the communal justice of the peace as a tool of conciliation and mediation.
«The Venezuelan people heeded the call and came out en masse to vote. What we have in Venezuela is an electoral party,” said the rector.
Around 12 noon this Sunday, social activist and popular communicator Jesús “Chuo” Torrealba began publishing on his X account images of some voting centers in Caracas, where no voters were visible.
«»Malnourished», squalid attendance that attended the Voting Center located in the “Hipólita Bolívar” National Nutrition Institute, located in the Nuevo Prado sector, Santa Rosalía parish…», wrote at 12:16 p.m.. Then he indicated that at the José Manuel Nuñez Ponte Educational Unit, in UD7, Ruiz Pineda, Caricuao (…) The day began and continued the rest of the day with a very little participation«.

15 thousand justices of the peace
The National Electoral Council (CNE) had 4,817 voting centers, in which 15 thousand main judges and another 15 thousand substitutes will be elected among the 52,288 candidates who are registered to participate in the electoral contest.
The election began at 8:00 in the morning and had a closing time of 6:00 pm. In order to know their voting center, voters had to use the website of the Ministry of Communes and not that of the CNEas appropriate, since the National Electoral Council page has been “hacked” for four months and 17 days after the presidential elections of July 28, and therefore there is no record of any published results.
During a press conference at the Bolívar Theater in Caracas, members of the National Electoral Commission for the election of Justices of the Peace reported that around 11:00 am, 99% of the polling stations were already open. “There are some tables missing that should be open in remote locations and we will be at 100%. A protocol is complied with that opens all voting stations and provides that all voting centers are ready for voters to attend,” said the rector of the CNE, Carlos Quintero, as recorded by VTV.
The spokesperson for the National Electoral Commission, Pedro Infante, invited people to vote in order to elect the people who will administer and impart justice in the community. The coordinator of this Commission, Tanía D’Amelio, specified that starting in January the training process begins “and then the swearing-in and accreditation process by the Supreme Court of Justice so that they are identified and also certified.”
This election was organized by the Ministry of Communes and citizens from 15 years of age and older will be able to vote. At each voting center there will be the names of the candidates and their assigned numbers. While the indigenous communities will have their own systems for electing justices of the peace, adjusted to their norms.
Each voter will be able to vote for up to three candidates to decide for 15,000 main judges and more than 15,000 substitutes.
